Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your authentication credentials through Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. We generate a randomized display name and assign a default avatar.
- Voice Recordings: When you create posts or replies, we collect and store voice recordings up to 30 seconds in duration.
- Photos: When you create posts, we collect and store the photos you capture or select.
- Profile Information: Any display name changes or avatar selections you make.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: We collect device identifiers to maintain your session and secure your account.
- Location Data: If you enable the Local Feed feature, we collect your approximate location (latitude and longitude) to show you posts from within approximately 30 miles of your location. Your exact location is never shared with other users.
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app, including posts viewed, reactions, and engagement patterns.
AI and Third-Party Processing Disclosure
To provide transcription services, your voice recordings are processed by OpenAI's transcription API. This allows us to generate text transcripts of your audio content for accessibility and searchability. OpenAI processes this data according to their privacy policy and data processing agreements. Voice data sent to OpenAI is used solely for transcription purposes and is not used to train AI models.

- Public Content: Posts and replies you create are visible to other Voxie users.
- Service Providers: We share data with third-party services that help us operate our platform, including:
- OpenAI for voice transcription
- Cloud hosting and storage providers
- Authentication providers (Apple, Google)
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Voice recordings and photos associated with deleted posts are removed from our servers within 30 days of deletion.
Your Right to Delete Your Data
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. To do this:
- Open the Voxie app
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Select "Account"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
Upon deletion, your account information, posts, replies, voice recordings, and photos will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if required by law.

Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
Voxie is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws.
